Shadowlands introduces new abilities, talents, GCD changes, and AoE target caps for many classes. Placement is also sort of weird, and there’s also all those AoE talents that would need to be pared down.Grey to green text indicates changes between Battle for Azeroth and the current version of Shadowlands. The main problem I’ve found so far is that LnL in the current design works off auto-attacks while old LnL worked off DoT damage, and you can’t add both as separate talents because you’d risk players getting both. The latter involved Explosive Shot replacing Aimed Shot, adding Black Arrow (as a switch node with Wailing Arrow), along with the old Lock and Load mechanic and a more prominent role for Serpent Sting. My idea for the MM tree was to try to create a sort of divide in the tree to allow for MM gameplay as we know it along with what I understand of ranged SV (Explosive Shot spam, DoTs grant free Explosive Shots). Give few abilities “option” to trigger lock n load and there you have “mop SV hunter”Īs someone who is attempting to redesign of the MM tree to do just that, I’ll tell you this is not as easy as it sounds. Add black arrow to MM tree, move explosive shot to MM tree, lock n load should affect explosive shot like it did and there you go.
